Tariff "Tiered Price"

Introduction

For the tariff design variant of the "graduated price" type, the price is designed with a graduation. Specifically, this means that the maximum parking duration is divided into several time periods. Normally, parking fees should follow a descending curve to give an advantage to long-term parker.

The scale consists of six segments of one hour each. The price per hour decreases. The steps are ten minutes everywhere.

To illustrate the tiered price, let's take the following example:

The price scale corresponds to the previous table.

Parker#1 uses the car park from 07:00 to 08:37

Parker#2 uses the car park from 13:00 to 15:28

Parker#3 uses the car park from 12:00 to 18:00

CHF          9.33 for parker#1 for a parking duration of one hour and 37 minutes
